Will Jarvis

Ever since he watched Captain Kirk and Mister Spock explore the cosmos on his dad’s lap, Will has been drawn to the stars. As a teen, he met astronauts at the EAA AirVenture Airshow and used the giant Green Bank Telescope, showing that he, too, could explore the universe. At Oberlin College Observatory, he found joy in sharing the night sky with others—until the pandemic closed its doors. Back home in Wisconsin Dells, he turned to astrophotography, capturing the beauty of the cosmos and finding new ways to share that wonder with others. Now, he’s excited to share that vision through his art. Will is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow who received his B.S. in Astronomy/Physics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and will begin his Ph.D. at UMass-Amherst in Fall 2025 focusing on the coevolution of galaxies and their supermassive black holes.
